The Carmel Quartet, formed in 1999, was a first-prize winner of the 2004 Aviv National Competition in the chamber music category. The quartet studied in Tel-Aviv with Haim Taub and is currently studying with the Alban Berg Quartet in Cologne, Germany. Each member of the Carmel Quartet are winners of America-Israel Cultural Foundation scholarships, and the quartet has also won a special ensemble scholarship.
