In 2003, the Penguin Quartet produced its first CD containing works by famous Czech composers, and won the International Forum of Young Performers New Talent 2003 competition organized as part of the 39th Bratislava Music Festival (Slovak Republic). In March 2004 the Penguin Quartet became a finalist at the 2004 Concert Artists Guild International Competition in New York. The Penquin Quartet competed in the 2001 BISQC.
