Christopher Costanza, St. Lawrence String Quartet

Christopher Costanza

Christopher Costanza graduated from the New England Conservatory of Music and studied cello with Bernard Greenhouse, Laurence Lesser, and David Wells. He was a winner in the 1986 Young Concert Artists International Auditions in New York and was the recipient of a 1993 Solo Recitalists Grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. He has performed as soloist and chamber musician throughout the United States, Europe, Canada, the Caribbean, and has been a participant in numerous summer festivals, including Marlboro, Santa Fe, Seattle, and Vancouver. He has been heard in radio broadcasts on WFMT in Chicago, National Public Radio in the U.S., and on the CBC in Canada. Before joining the St. Lawrence String Quartet (SLSQ) in 2002, Costanza was a member of the Chicago Chamber Musicians and the Chicago String Quartet and resident faculty quartet of the Taos School of Music in New Mexico. Costanza and the SLSQ are currently artists-in-residence at Stanford University, California.
