The City University of Hong Kong student exchange program provides students from Hong Kong with a combined work and cultural learning experience. Students are expected to apply and develop their technical and creative skills. They will participate in programming in one of the BNMI Labs, which incorporates a combination of technical activities.
Students will also participate in event planning/participation activities within a new media environment. They will develop the additional technical skills required to carry out work assignments. Upon completion of this component, the students will have a better understanding of the new media industry and the application of new media tools/techniques.
From a cultural perspective, the students are expected to experience and learn from the cultural experiences available within The Banff Centre environment and through the surrounding community including the Town of Banff and Banff National Park. Upon completion of this component, the students will have a better understanding of Canadian culture within a work and personal environment.
