The Banff New Media Institute, in partnership with Digital Alberta and the Graphic Designers of Canada is pleased to present How to Make Mistakes on Purpose – an intensive design workshop with Laurie Rosenwald, November 20 to 23 at The Banff Centre.

Rosenwald’s infamous, top secret workshop promises to throw your creative process upside down, bringing about results that will surprise even yourself. Everyone from designers, to inventors, to writers, to account managers are welcome.

DC2EN - An Opportunity not to be missed!

The Digital Content Creation Entrepreneurs Network (DC2EN) Incubation Program is unlike any other incubation project in the province. It is a unique pilot program designed specifically to benefit Alberta digital media producers by facilitating the development of a project with a focus on intellectual property creation from the earliest stages, allowing for unparalleled access to world-class digital media/creative industry mentors, in-person incubation sessions and the time to develop the project at your home base location. Project teams will receive training, business development advice, high-level networking opportunities and significant access to distinguished mentors and facilities. Qualified companies will receive 100 per cent sponsorship for participation in this program valued at approximately $50,000.00 CDN.

Hong Kong Students Explore Mobile Media at BNMI

Second year students from City University of Hong Kong, Lucy Jiang and Vanessa Sit are enjoying a two month residency at The Banff Centre. In partnership with Hong Kong Cyberport, and the Banff New Media Institute Accelerator program, these electronic engineering students were selected to come to Banff to further their career learning goals and find meaningful intersections in their work in an international setting.
