BNMI participates in a long-distance Co-production
"Day For Night", created by artist/architect Jordan Geiger, is a temporary architectural environment featuring an experimental inflatable structure that hosts live A/V feeds from multiple sources around the world. During the project's debut in San José, California, during the 2nd Biennial 01SJ Festival of Art on the Edge, The Banff Centre was very fortunate to have two of those feeds originate in Banff at the BMMI. The BNMI was an ideal partner in creating this project, in its long-term dedication to projects that engage technology across disciplinary boundaries.
Working with Lindsay MacDonald and Marc Bernier was a pleasure, as they instantly embraced and supported the project's goals and offered quick and robust support to make it a reality. Thanks to Lindsay and Marc and the BNMI, visitors could leave behind the streets of San José, connect to Banff, and even reflect on ways that data networks affect our everyday relations across architecture, cities, and the world map.
