High Definition Summit and Digital Media Festival
BNMI’s Definition 2006 is a Summit and Digital Media Festival bringing the best works in HD media from around the world to Banff, Alberta. The Summit will be held from April 20 - 22, 2006 at The Banff Centre, and the festival will be held during the summit.
Definition 2006 is a great opportunity to connect with leaders and innovators in HD in a relaxed environment in the majestic Rocky Mountains. The venue is intimate, the format lively, interactive and friendly.
Call for submissions
The Banff New Media Institute Accelerator announces the call for submissions in HD for Definition 2006. We’re looking for new creative HD works to feature at the Definition 2006: Digital Media Festival. Share your works in HD with an international audience by entering your film, video, or animation in Definition 2006.
Format
Work entries must be on a digital HD Format with a preferred format of HD-D5 or DVC pro-HD. Entries can be of any duration in any genre including narrative, story, documentary, animated or experimental, and can be submitted by professional or amateur contributors.
Deadline
The deadline for entries is March 15, 5 p.m. Mountain Standard Time.
Prize
An international jury will choose works from those submitted for entry in the festival. Creators of the selected works will receive an invitation to join us at the festival and HD Summit in Banff from April 20 – 22 2006. On campus accommodations and meals will be provided by The Banff Centre.
