The Banff Centre is proud of its longtime partnership with RBC, the Presenting Sponsor of the Banff Summer Arts Festival. RBC, through its support of the arts, is a leading contributor to the health and vibrancy of communities across Canada.

RBC’s sponsorship provides funding to artists through the RBC Youth Excellence Scholarships (RBC YES) program. These scholarships recognize young artists as valuable assets and forces of change within their communities. They provide them with the financial support needed to attend The Banff Centre and to further develop their artistic talent.

The generous support of RBC will bring artists to Banff from across Canada to participate in master classes, intensive training, and performance opportunities throughout the summer. Artists chosen this year include tenor Benjamin Covey, who returns to the Centre’s Opera as Theatre program after his starring role in Frobisher during the 2007 Festival. Ballet dancer Kathleen O’Brien was recommended for the professional dance program by Alberta Ballet artistic director Jean Grand-Maître and Quebec-based brass quintet Frolic will perform in venues throughout the Bow Valley as part of the new RBC Quintet in the Community program.
