Video Conferencing

The video conference equipment at The Banff Centre is a Polycom IP-based system. This system is permanently located in the Jeanne and Peter Lougheed Building. A maximum of 10 people can be seated around the video conference table, and can participate directly in the teleconference event. An additional 10-20 people could also be seated in the room, as audience or non-participating members. A VCR and PC connection are available for use with the video conference unit. Fax and photocopy services are available at The Business Centre. Water service is provided, and additional food and beverage service is available upon request. No additional long distance or bridging fees apply when using this IP-based system.

The costs for the Polycom IP-based system are:

  • A fee of $300 per 2-hour video conference. Minimum billing is two hours.
  • $125 per hour after initial 2-hour minimum rental.
  • A maximum full day (7 hours) rental is $700.
  • If permanent Video Conferencing is cancelled less than 48 hours prior to booking, a cancellation fee of $150.00 applies.

 

A technician will be provided for any video conference booked on any day, or time of day.  Rates do not include GST.
