A musical symbiosis greater than the sum of its parts

Two extremely popular and exceptionally talented artists come together for a unique and magical concert experience. Both truly dazzling musicians in their own right, Harry Manx and Michael Kaeshammer come from very different cultural and musical backgrounds but find common ground in the language of blues and jazz. They will bring their virtuoso musical skills and sense of exploration to the stage for a wonderful evening where world, roots, and blues meet with jazz and boogie-woogie piano music. Harry Manx is beyond a doubt one of the most original folk-World-blues performers touring today. Drawing on American blues and Indian classical ragas, he has forged an unforgettable, addictive musical hybrid featuring his hypnotic voice and multi-instrumental prowess that has captivated audiences worldwide. Pianist Michael Kaeshammer with his jaw-dropping dexterity on the keys is an amazing player who has mastered a dizzying array of jazz and blues forms and offers an eclectic repertoire that combines daring original compositions with funky interpretations of classic ragtime and boogie-woogie songs. Pooling their outstanding musical skills, resources and influences, this pairing makes for a fascinating juxtaposition of musical forms that meld together wonderfully. Add in their warmth, humour, comraderie and generous spirit, and fans of either of these two artists are sure to embrace the heart and soul of their individual and collective artistry. Michael and Harry will each perform their own solo set and then the two return for a tour-de-force segment uniting their talents into a thoroughly enjoyable synergy of music and entertainment. |
