Chucky Danger
Want to know the recipe for a very memorable event? Mix four well-traveled, gifted young musicians from PEI; 16 to 20 original, hook-laden songs laced with hope, humour, angst, love, and inner struggle; oodles of stage craft blended with showmanship and unexpected surprisesp a large handful of the sweet sound of two brothers singing in perfect harmony; a good measure of straight forward yet innovative and unforgettable lead guitar playing (the tasty kind; and a rock and roll backbeat with a sprinkling of samba, shuffle, funk and percussive variety. Blend the above ingredients, place in a theatre with stage and audience, let simmer for an hour then bring to a boil for 30 minutes, serve hot to young and old alike. This is how you experience The Chucky Danger Band, winners of the 2006 ECMA for Pop Recording of the Year and one of the most talented, exciting and enjoyable bands seen in years. Standing ovations, enthusiastic fans, front pages of newspapers — The Chucky Danger Band has been on a rapid rise since their debut in 2005. Dressed in trademark tailored black suits and ties and with a fresh pop/rock sound, they deliver high-energy, polished, and memorable performances that defy their young age. This is a band with impact and immediate appeal with a sound set squarely in the centre of today’s music scene and taking a backseat to no one. Their debut CD Colour catapulted their music to radio stations across the country, resulting in a legion of new supporters. With touches of Sting, The Beatles, U2, and The Killers infused into their very original music and song and winning performances brimming with talent, showmanship and stagecraft, The Chucky Danger Band is riding a wave of popularity that is steadily moving west. Highly recommended for any age.
