Some of the world’s foremost acoustic guitarists exchange musical ideas, styles and songs that highlight their virtuosity and diversity. Ever since its beginnings in 1995, the International Guitar Night tours have allowed guitar luminaries to play with peers from different genres, exploring the myriad of styles that can be played by the unaccompanied acoustic guitar, as well as a marvelous opportunity to learn and interact with one another on stage. Audiences have cherished the virtuosity of the playing and the friendly informal ambiance of these performances full of guitar positivity. With an emphasis on original music, including solos, duets and a final closing quartet that is a highlight of the concert, founder Brian Gore invites a new cast of guitarists along for each tour. This year he will be joined by Clive Carroll (England’s finest young fingerstyle guitarist), D’Gary (renowned world music guitarist from Madagascar) and Miquel de la Bastide (a highly respected flamenco guitarist from Spain now living in Canada).
