From coffee houses and concert halls to festivals and beyond, blues luminary John Hammond has spent 40 years entertaining blues, folk, and rock audiences around the world. His velvety voice, skillful guitar playing, impeccable timing, and deep sense of the blues reveal a legitimate treasure of American roots music. A Grammy Award winner and multiple W.C. Handy Award winner, John has shared the stage and recorded with many blues masters including Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon, John Lee Hooker, J.J. Cale, Tom Waits, and The Band. On his newest album, Push Comes To Shove, he reinvents himself as he combines the power of electric guitar with the intimacy of acoustic guitar to re-imagine the blues and push the boundaries of his signature style, while staying true to his roots.
