Message from Conference Host Jens Lindemann

The Banff Centre is honoured to have been selected as the site for the International Trumpet Guild’s 2008 conference. The Banff Centre is nestled in the town of Banff in the heart of the Canadian Rockies in Canada’s oldest and most renowned national park. The Banff Centre has a rich history of attracting world-renowned musicians to its programs and events and the ITG 2008 conference will be no exception!

As host of the first western Canadian ITG conference, I can guarantee you that you will be awed and inspired by both the natural beauty of the conference site and also by the artistry of our guest performers. Whether it be the Night of Principals concert, a panel discussion on the art of lead playing  or listening to late night jazz in The Club, there really will be something for everyone!

Plan also to take advantage of meal and accommodation packages built specifically for the ITG conference. The Banff Centre has two levels of accommodations on site and a variety of dining options with food to die for! Delegates from past conferences including the 1998 International Horn Society conference, the 2002 International Double Reed Society Conference and the 2003 Audio Engineer Society Conference have noted that the close proximity of great facilities and the easy opportunity to mingle and dine with your colleagues is what sets a Banff conference apart – not to mention the scenery!
