For immediate release Banff Centre wins two prestigious conference business awards Overall excellence in conference services has earned The Banff Centre two prestigious awards. Smart Meetings Magazine and Successful Meetings Magazine have both chosen The Banff Centre for awards for outstanding conference service and facilities. The awards presented are the 2004 Smart Meetings Platinum Choice Award from Smart Meetings Magazine and the 2003 Pinnacle Award from Successful Meetings Magazine. Successful Meetings Magazine readers voted on their favorite meeting/convention hotels and resorts around the world. The criteria include overall service, meeting rooms and equipment, recreational facilities, quality of food and beverage, exhibit space, accessibility, and social conscience. Smart Meetings Magazine assembled a panel of industry experts to choose the top meeting properties in the Western United States, Canada, and Mexico. According to the magazine, “The Banff Centre rose to the top of this select list.” Smart Meetings Magazine also considered overall service, meeting facilities, amenities, food and beverage, guestrooms, etc. The Banff Centre’s conference facility has worked hard to “make the property stand out from the rest and to set a new standard of excellence,” says Marin Bright, president and publisher of Smart Meetings Magazine. The Banff Centre’s conference facilities include 400 guest rooms and over 60 meeting facilities, lecture theatres, and auditoriums to suit groups from five to1,000 participants.
