Banff Mountain Film Festival

The Banff Mountain Film Festival, presented by Eagle Creek Travel Gear and National Geographic, brings you the world’s best mountain films,  videos, and speakers. Immediately following the festival the winning films go on the road with the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour.

Experience the adventure of climbing, mountain expeditions, remote cultures, and the world’s last great wild places – all brought to life on the big screen.

Erik WeihenmayerThis year’s special guest speaker was
Erik Weihenmayer. Erik has summited Mount McKinley, scaled El Capitan and reached the top of Everest - despite the fact he has been blind since the age of 13. A compelling speaker, Erik recounted how he has overcome physical and societal barriers to achieve near impossible goals.

Films are the heart of the festival. From Tuesday night’s Radical Reels program to Friday through Sunday’s diverse selection of the best in adventure filmmaking, the Banff Mountain Film Festival immerses you in the adventure of mountain sports, remote cultures and the world’s last great wild places.
