Jeremy Frost: First View of Spring

Jeremy Frost: First View of Spring

“My wife and I were at Mount Assiniboine Lodge just after a freak snowfall late in June, 2005. The spring flowers were being uncovered in the lower meadows and the snow was working its way back up to the higher elevations. Where the snow had not yet melted one would encounter little vignettes such as this new growth working through the snow pack. It was a magical time in a spectacular setting! This was a time of transition for me from film to digital capture — a process which stimulates me greatly as I learn more about what can be accomplished with the medium.”

Jeremy Frost began a life with photography in the 1960s and was a partner in Shafer Studios, providing regular studio services as well as senior portraiture, sports, and general coverage for colleges in upstate New York. Commercial work followed in New York City for Doyle Galleries. He has traveled extensively and is currently based in Easton, Connecticut. He is vice president of the Norwalk Camera Club (Connecticut) and has been published in Antiques and The New York Times, and has won awards in competitions in the United States and Canada.
