Valerie Sauers: Bouldering in Central Park
“Central Park is one of the few and well-known escapes from the ‘concrete jungle.’ It is also legendary to rock climbers, both locally and from distant places. In this image Jonathan Catalano boulders on a hot summer day in one of the rare spots within New York City that offers some good, real rock.”
Valerie Sauers has just recently graduated from the photography program at the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York. Her interests lie in adventures and discoveries of multiple facets, including rock climbing of various sorts. She does not live life looking for photographs, but rather photographs looking to explore ideas about life.
