Maria Coffey & Dag Goering are a married couple and an internationally published photographer/writer team. Exploring new cultures and landscapes has always been an enduring passion for both and they have forged a lifestyle that allows them to pursue this.

After having traveled separately in many different parts of the world, in 1985 they met on Canada's West Coast. Together they built a house on a small island from where they could commute by kayak to the nearest town. This set the stage for future kayaking expeditions, in Canada and further afield.

Over the years, they have pioneered sea-kayaking destinations around the globe. Many of these exploits are documented in their successful, internationally published books.
