
Camille Dow Baker is the President and
CEO of the Centre for Affordable Water and Sanitation
Technology (or CAWST for short). Camille is a professional
engineer and executive with 25 years of experience,
primarily in the oil and gas industry internationally and in
Western Canada, but more recently in the international water
and sanitation industry.
Influenced heavily by her socially minded
children, Camille left the oil and gas sector to go to the
University of Calgary, where she earned her graduate degree
in environmental design, focusing on water and sanitation in
developing countries.
Prior to this, Camille was Manager of
Engineering and Operations at AEC International and enjoyed
a very successful career in various managerial and
leadership positions at Norcen Energy Resources Limited and
Conwest Exploration Company Limited. She led several
international projects in Australia, Peru, Egypt, Trinidad
and Tobago and Zimbabwe.
Camille has been President of the Board of Directors for
the YWCA of Calgary and is a recent recipient of the
National GRIOT Award for science and technology.
