Joyce Ndesamburo
Ms. Ndesamburo has an M.Sc. (1999) in Urban Environmental
Management from Wageningen University in The Netherlands,
including work in environmental regulations and pollution
control standards, sewerage and wastewater treatment. She
undertook a training course in 1997 with the Gigiri UN
Centre in Nairobi on design, operation and maintenance of
waste stabilization ponds. She has substantial experience
(1993 to 1997, 1999 - 2000) with the Sustainable Dar es
Salaam project, coordinating work on management of effluents
and waste water. Ms. Ndesamburo currently works for an NGO
called PAMOJA Trust (Pamoja means together) based in Moshi,
Tanzania. This NGO deals with environmental issues,
irrigation (water use mainly in the Pangani Basin, which
obtains most of the water from Kilimanjaro Mountain), and
the education sector with focus on environmental education
and good governance.
