Bhuban Shrestha
During the last 14 years, Shrestha has worked as a research scientist and Country Coordinator for PARDYP /ICIMOD,
Kathmandu, Nepal in the watershed management area.
PARDYP is a watershed management,
research for development project, funded by IDRC, SDC
and ICIMOD and is running in four middle mountain
watersheds in four countries of China, India, Nepal and
Pakistan. Shrestha is familiar with issues,
problem and trends in the middle mountain watersheds in
the China, India, Nepal and Pakistan and is a geographer
working in GIS, land use,
social survey, remote sensing, land survey, multimedia,
coordination,
implementation, supervision, promotion, reporting and
financial procurement.
He was also with the Department of Survey, His
Majesty's Government of Nepal for 13 years and moved to
ICIMOD in 1992.
Shrestha was born in Kathmandu and received his Master's
in Geography from Tribhuban University, Nepal and a diploma
in survey and mapping in Ottawa, Canada. |
