CALL FOR POSTER PRESENTATIONS - CLOSED
For the Banff Mountain Summit - Mountains as Water Towers, November
23-26, 2003 we are seeking examples of successful projects or
management tools and techniques that can be highlighted for our
participants in the form of a visual display.
Posters will be up throughout the conference, and there will be a
dedicated "poster session", during which posters will be staffed by
their presenters and conference participants will be able to ask
questions and/or comment.
If accepted as a poster presenter, you will be provided with a
6-foot wide by 4-foot high display surface and a six-foot table. We
suggest a combination of text materials and visuals for display.
There are five (5) theme areas in the conference. All suggested
poster sessions should relate to one of them:
- Who owns it and who profits from it? (For example:
trans-boundary issues; trans-watershed issues; international
agreements; supply and demand pricing)
- Integrated watershed management (For example: shared solutions;
shared strategies; decision-making models; upstream/downstream
link)
- Mountain water ecosystems: conservation and restoration (For
example: aquatic biodiversity; contamination)
- Climate change (For example: mountain ecosystems as early
indicators; planning for uncertainty; mitigating the impacts;
mobilizing citizen action on climate change)
- 20 Year Horizon – search for solutions (For example: what
drives innovation; increasing water efficiency in industry; tourism
infrastructures)
