Dennis Adams is an artist working principally in North America and Europe. Since 1978 when he produced his first public work in Manhattan, he has addressed the historical/political unconscious of the specific urban contexts in which his works are sited. Most recently, he has produced public works for Hoorn in the Netherlands, Marseille, Montréal, Munich, Saint-Denis, and Úbeda in Spain. In 1994 two separate retrospective exhibitions were held at the Museum van Hedendaagse Kunst Antwerpen and the Contemporary Arts Museum, Houston. He has lectured and taught extensively throughout North America and Europe and is currently a Visiting Artist at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Contributor to: |
