Kingston writer Kristin Andrychuk attended the Writing Studio (1989 Adele Wiseman and 1997 Rachel Wyatt) and the Radio Writers' Workshop (1990 Rachel Wyatt). At Banff in 1989, Andrychuk worked on poetry and prose, starting what became her first novel, The Swing Tree (Oberon 1996). At Banff in 1997, she finished her yet-to-be published second novel, Crystal and Crown Derby.
