Astrid Blodgett works and plays in Edmonton, Alberta. Her short stories have appeared in Prairie Fire and Pottersfield Portfolio, and have been produced on CBC Radio's Alberta Anthology. Blodgett is now polishing her first collection of short stories, which will include "Learning to Speak." When she is not writing, she plays Renaissance recorder and wanders through the Rocky Mountains.
