"Ice" first appeared in Mary Borsky's short story collection Influence of the Moon (Porcupine's Quill 1995). Borsky attended the Writing Studio (1992 Rachel Wyatt and Edna Alford). Her stories are included in The Third Macmillan Anthology, Best Canadian Stories 93, and The Journey Prize Anthology, with another forthcoming in a Canadian-Ukrainian anthology, Two Lands, New Visions.
