Esta Spalding’s most recent work of poetry is The Wife’s Account (nominated for the 2003 Pat Lowther Award). She is the author of three previous books of poetry Carrying Place (nominated for the Gerald Lampert Award), Anchoress (nominated for the CBA Libris Award), and Lost August, which won the 2000 Pat Lowther Award. She is the editor of The Griffin Prize Anthology (2001 and 2002), and the co-author of a novel, Mere. An award-winning screenwriter, Spalding’s screen credits include thirty-nine episodes of CBC’s Da Vinci’s Inquest and fourteen episodes of CTV’s The Eleventh Hour. She recently adapted Barbara Gowdy’s novel Falling Angels for the screen. She lives in Vancouver.
