Office of Research

The Office of Research oversees research administration at The Banff Centre. The tasks undertaken by the Office of Research include:

  • Developing and overseeing research policies;
  • Assisting members of The Banff Centre community identify research funding opportunities and developing grant applications;
  • Providing assistance with the administration of several committees, including the Research Committee and the Research Ethics Committee;
  • Maintaining contact and liaison with research funding organizations;
  • Providing oversight to research facilities;
  • Engaging in partnership opportunities with organizations with an interest in research activities involving The Banff Centre;
  • Ensuring post-award compliance with research funding obligations.

The Office of Research is located in DCH 215C, and is staffed by the Director of Research. The Director of Research reports to the Vice-President Programming, and works closely with the Grants Administrator, Arts Programming. The Office of Research can be contacted as follows:
