Get Creative — The 29th Banff Midsummer Ball
July 18 – 20, 2008
“The setting is unparalleled, and the facilities and resources at the Centre, along with the knowledgeable, supportive staff, make for an outstanding, world-class residential artist program.”
Martha Ladly,
new media designer, singer/songwriter
On the weekend of July 18 – 20, 2008, The Banff Centre celebrated 75 years of inspiring creativity with an unforgettable Banff Midsummer Ball Weekend featuring star-studded performances by Juno Award nominee Amy Sky, singer-songwriter Marc Jordan, trumpet virtuoso Jens Lindemann, and singer Patricia O’Callaghan. The event raised more than $700,000 for artist scholarships and attracted approximately 340 guests from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and the United States.
This highly anticipated weekend affair is a must on the social calendars of many of Canada’s leaders. Offering inspiring social, cultural, and recreational activities in an unparalleled UNESCO World Heritage site, the Ball is one of Canada’s most unique and illustrious fundraising events.
The 75th Anniversary Ball Weekend was infused with creativity, from Friday afternoon golf at The Fairmont Banff Springs to the evening Food Festival and Cabaret to Saturday’s exclusive Banff Centre “creative experiences" to Saturday night’s black-tie Ball Gala and Sunday’s scenic President’s Brunch.
Invitations for the July 17-19, 2009 Banff Midsummer Ball will be mailed in May 2009. An early commitment is recommended as tickets are limited.
