Ceramics Studio

The Ceramics Studios support artists in the Visual Arts Creative Residencies program. Proposals for ceramics-based projects are accepted from artists applying for Creative Residencies in the Thematic, New Works, and Self-Directed programs.

The Ceramics Studio offers an exceptional opportunity to work in a generous studio environment, with access to a broad range of equipment designed to support most aspects of ceramic practice. The studio is in close proximity to other studio areas such as sculpture, painting, printmaking, photography, and Creative Electronic Environment (CEE). Access to these facilities is also possible under consultation from facility supervisor. Interaction and collaboration with artists in these areas and others is encouraged as part of a residency experience, and our expert staff will do their best to help facilitate your projects.

Individual ceramic studios are approximately 350 square feet, each with a sink, tables, ware carts, etc. Artists are encouraged to bring their own hand tools.
